Karsa Mono V03: Sharper Spacing, Still Free
Karsa Mono just got quieter and tighter. Wacana’s debut retail typeface, the one that opened our shop with a single monospace style, just shipped its third update, V03, bringing improved spacing and a return to classic monospaced kerning across the whole family.

The kerning part matters more than it sounds. Monospaced fonts live or die by how evenly their letters sit inside a fixed grid, and V03 pulls Karsa Mono back to that stricter, more traditional spacing logic. It is the kind of change that is easy to miss at a glance and impossible to unsee once you notice it in a block of code or a tightly set brutalist layout, exactly the environments Karsa Mono was built for in the first place.

What has not changed is the license. Karsa Mono stays 100% free for commercial use, same as the day it launched. The update is a refinement to the letterforms, not a shift in how the typeface is meant to be shared. If you already downloaded Karsa Mono for a project, this is the version worth grabbing again. If you have not tried it yet, Karsa Mono is still there, free, waiting for whatever structured, coded, or unapologetically rigid layout you throw at it next.
